IT BRINGS US MUCH HAPPINESS TO CELEBRATE MIKKEL ULLAH. 'REVIVE YOUR OPTIMISM' IS A PRINT WE SHOULD ALL HAVE ON OUR WALL AND IN OUR HEARTS.

Mikkel grew up in the industrial north of England, originally passionate about playing and studying sports.

After being diagnosed with an autoimmune illness and withstanding sustained periods of hospitalisation, she turned to art as a means of creative therapy and rehabilitation.

Whilst in remission she suffered a stroke, following this she had to relearn many skills, including her speech and fluid mobility.

This experience has had a big influence on the style and approach to her work, allowing her to reconsider materials and scale.

Mikkel is a painter with a distinctive style, she uses multiple type paint including sprays and acrylics.

Mikkels approach remains instinctive and primitive, whilst using vibrant authentic mark making techniques to create her strong and bold art works.
